Harry Josh and Dyson hairdryers are imposing names for different reasons.

Dyson became famous for his cyclone technology to build a better vacuum cleaner, bladeless fans, and digital motors.

Harry Josh is a very sought after celebrity hairstylist who launched his line of tools in 2013. All of Harry Josh tools come in his signature Green color

So many people ask, is the Dyson worth it?

Harry Josh’s Guide to the Perfect Blowout:

  • Invest in a quality blow dryer.
  • Utilize a nozzle. It will help direct the hot air, allowing you to concentrate on specific areas of your hair at a time. Start at the roots to add volume and work your way to the ends.
  • Take your time. Taking an extra ten minutes to section and dry hair one at a time,  will save you another twenty fixing stray and frizz from blasting the blow dryer all over.
  • Aim carefully. Blow-dry with the nozzle facing downward. Following the direction of the hair cuticle will add shine and a soft-bristle brush will pull hair straight without snagging or breakage.

Traditional Nozzle delivers faster dry times and is perfect for daily use. It makes it easy to dry small sections of hair in seconds by providing concentrated airflow.

Long Nozzle Concentrator directs the airflow of your Ultra Light Pro Dryer to help you dry large sections of hair faster. This professional attachment keeps a cool temperature, allowing you to hold the nozzle directly.

Pro Tip: Switch on the ion & style from root-to-tip for noticeable smoother, sleeker strands with minimal frizz.

The Supersonic Professional hairdryer is Sold Exclusively by DYSON.  Resale will void the warranty. Using a regular model in the salon it will void the warranty

The Professional edition re-engineered for stylists and salon environments. Key features exclusive to the Professional version include:

  • Two improved filters that are magnetic, removable, and washable, with a filter cleaning brush.
  • A longer, 11-foot cable.
  • Professional concentrator, that’s wider and thinner with cool grip edges.
  • Extended 2-year warranty on all parts and labor
  • Stronger motor
  • Lighter
  • Magnetic attachments are supposed to hold stronger
  • If it has any colors (fuschia, white, black, blue, gold), it’s NOT the pro model
  • Keeping your filter clean protects the motor, which may result in faster dry times for your clients.
  • To keep the machine at optimal performance, we recommend cleaning the filter at least once a week or more frequently during high traffic periods.
  • Make sure you clean the dust residue underneath where the filters go.

In Conclusion

Dyson is a hairdryer; people love it or hate it, and there seems to be no middle ground on this.  In that case, Harry Josh is more of a typical hairdryer if you are in doubt.

Apart from the Dyson learning curve, Dyson includes all accessories, Harry Josh; some accessories you must purchase separately.

Dyson needs constant filter maintenance; otherwise, the heat sensors will shut the motor off.

Harry Josh, the flow of this dryer, is as strong as the Dyson. People with thick hair prefer more watts from Harry Josh.

What is the BEST professional, Hairdryer?

For Hairdressers: Dyson is a power statement to your clients. When you break out that bad boy, you must be prepared to talk about your hairdryer. Dyson will give a professional discount to licensed professionals, but Harry Josh will NOT.

Of these two choices, pros prefer Dyson (only the PRO model) but hate the filter maintenance and sensitivity.  For travel, Harry Josh is the winner with its lighter design.
