Are hair steamers really that good?

Will they make a difference to my hair?

Why should I switch?

Steamers for the hair come in the following forms:

  • Steam Cap
  • Professional Steamer

They all have different uses, so will therefore have different pros and cons.

Let’s have a look at the pros and cons for each different type of steamer...

Pros and Cons of Steam Caps

These are generally used for allowing conditioning treatments to penetrate the hair by lifting the cuticle.

Pros:

  2. Easy to use.
  3. Ideal for home use and easily portable.

As you can see each tool has its pros and cons, which differ depending on what you want to use them for, however in general steam tools can really help to hydrate the hair and make it look and feel healthy.

The general con is that they can be bulky, take longer to use and the water tanks will have to be filled up regularly.
